Genoa, December 2008 – GRANDI NAVI VELOCI has always been concerned with the conditions of transport enjoyed by our four-legged friends and it was because of them that the new “PETS, WELCOME ON BOARD” service has been initiated, because our pets’ holdiays should also start on board! Without them, their masters and other passegers having to undergo any stress.  People travelling with their pets often, in fact, do so under conditions of strong, emotional discomfort, which is caused by not being able to take them with them into their chosen accommodation.

In order to overcome this hardship, one of the most important innovations guarateed by “PETS, WELCOME ON BOARD” is the possibility of being able to travel together with the pets in cabins that have been specially designed: with ew flooring and a daily sanitisation service to offer maximum comfot for our four-legged friends and their masters, guaranteeing, at the same time, the highest levels of hygiene.

But the attention dedicated to our four-legged friends does not stop with the cabins being redesigned. A DOG PARK has been set up, in some specially, regulated external areas, where the animals can run around and where there is access to fountains and benches for their escorts.

A clear and efficient set of signs, located in a series of strategic points, also indicates the regulations in force, the services offered and where they can be found.

There will be specific “guided” routes all over the ship, to directly and easily access the areas that have been set aside, in compliance with those who wish to keep out of the way of our four-legged friends. Thanks to “Pets, welcome on Board”, the animals will be able to move about freely in the areas that have been specifically designed for their needs.

Avaiable on the routes, Genoa–Palermo, Genoa–Porto Torres, Genoa–Olbia and Civitavecchia Palermo, the service is offered not just to make the journey more enjoyalbe for pets and their masters, but also guarantees the other passengers’ rights to peace and tranquillity.
